ZIP files are one or more files compressed together to create a smaller file that downloads faster.
Most of our products and freebies will download as a zip file, which need to be unzipped before you can open them in your preferred software like Cricut Design Space or Silhouette Studio.
If you have never used zipped files before, or are having trouble working with them, follow these steps to unzip files on an Android:
Step 1: Go to the Google Play Store and install Files by Google
Step 2: Open Files by Google app and locate the ZIP file. When you first download the zip file from Craft House SVG to your device, it might be in your Downloads folder.
Step 3: Tap on the zip file. A pop up showing all the files inside will appear, Tap "Extract" to unzip.
Step 4: If you want to delete the zip file after unzipping, check the “Delete ZIP file” checkbox.
Step 5: Tap "Done".
Inside this new folder, you can find all of the file types that were included for the product. You can now locate and open the files you wish to use in your design software.
