These gnomes are adorable. There are not too many pieces which makes them a good craft to do with kids (a 10 year old). I cut out a few beforehand (plus lots of beards, hands, noses) and then we had time to cut different color combos that she wanted for the main body. All her class are now getting one for Easter!
Because of the two full layers in front they are sturdy enough in 65lb cardstock but even better if the back and base is slightly heavier card if you have it. As they are, the size fits a Kinder Joy egg which were my test ones in the photo. I the. resized them a little smaller to fit a (US) Cadbury crème egg to hold that egg a little tighter - Cadbury eggs are a bit cheaper for bulk giveaways!!
